Masters in Development Planning, Management and Innovation - SERD, AIT

My experience working with the Yunus Center has been a learning journey, marked by growth and inspiration. I was fortunate to be involved in the project We Power SAR 100, where I had the opportunity to assist in writing beautiful stories of empowering women. This experience not only honed my writing skills but also allowed me to explore my creative side through designing digital materials for events. Additionally, I was involved in organizing events for the Yunus Center, which not only helped me in networking but also provided a platform to hone my skills in event management.

Through my experience with the Yunus Center, I gained a deeper understanding of the social entrepreneurship sector, which aligns with my primary interest in empowering rural communities. The three most important skills I developed during my internship are my writing skills, which I refined through writing engaging stories of empowering women; my creative skills, which I explored through designing digital materials for events; and my networking skills, which I honed through organizing events for the Yunus Center.

Throughout my internship stint at Yunus Center AIT, I have focused on getting hands-on experience and working outside the office premises to strengthen my cognition and on-ground learning. I have engaged in ongoing projects, mainly the WePOWER SAR100 project and the Social Business Academia Conference (SBAC), where I have assisted the team in various stages, such as report editing and formatting, data collection and handling, managing itineraries, participant interaction and guidance, and back-stage conference management.

This internship has helped me experience the theoretical and applied aspects of social businesses, social entrepreneurship, and real-time innovation. I expect to extend this learning experience and develop networks globally. The concepts of social business, entrepreneurship, and innovation go hand-in-hand with agribusiness and rural innovation and development, which have remained my areas of interest and profession.
